The Friends of the Island Parks mission is to serve as a non-profit corporation to generate both financial and volunteerĀ resources that support the mission and best interests of Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island StateĀ Parks

Member Benefits
Everyone is welcome to attend meetings and volunteer at events, whether you are a member or not. But membership does have its rewards. Members receive:

  • A monthly newsletter by email and/or mail.

  • Voting: Each membership entitles you to one vote. For example, if your family joins at the Friend member level, your family is entitled to one vote for each votable issue or election.

  • Invitation to Annual Holiday Party

  • 12 FREE any day admissions to Honeymoon Island State Park

  • You will have the knowledge that your dues or donation will be used to directly support your favorite parks.

Membership Qualifications
Qualifications for membership and the manner of their admission are that any person, including individuals, families, and corporations with an interest in the purpose of the corporation, shall become a member upon payment of the dues as provided by the By-Laws. The board of directors, by majority vote of those present at any regular or special meeting may, for cause and reasonable notice, terminate membership or decline renewal. Friends of the Island Parks, Inc. shall provide for equal membership and employment opportunities to all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientationĀ or natural origin.
